Bio Lonreco Inc was founded in 1987 by Mr. Pierre Longpré. We were at the time distributing vitamins and supplements when the distribution of the Dr. Reckeweg homeopathic specialties began. The increased demand rapidly "forced" us to concentrate our efforts on the Dr. Reckeweg remedies.

The homeopathic industry in Canada is healthy. The Canadian homeopathic market has been increasing since the day the company was founded. More and more consumers are turning towards homeopathy for a very wide range of conditions. Homeopathy is being practiced mostly by homeopaths, naturopaths, chiropractors and pharmacists. The remedies are also available in pharmacies, apothecaries and health food stores.

To further develop the general practice of homeopathy and to make sure all practitioners have the latest information on the Dr. Reckeweg remedies, Bio Lonreco Inc. conducts seminars, sends professional literature and educational videos.

There are 20 employees currently working for Bio Lonreco Inc. Two of them are trained homeopaths both members of the "Syndicat Professionnel des Homéopathe du Québec" to ensure the proper homeopathic expertise. The staff of Bio Lonreco Inc., from operations to the sales department, is always working towards giving the best to our customers.

In the field of regulatory affairs, Bio Lonreco Inc. is an active member of the Canadian Homeopathic Pharmaceutical Association (CHPA). A representative of the company sits on the board of directors and is part of the technical committee. The objectives of the association are the following: to promote high standards of manufacture of homeopathic medicines; to advance the academic and scientific aspects of homeopathic medicines and in doing so, contribute to the acceptance of homeopathic medicines as a link into the healthcare delivery system of Canada; to cooperate with scientific, health services, and other organizations having objectives similar to those of the association; to promote the activities of the association by individual involvement and the interest of members; and, to represent the members' interests at the federal and provincial levels in relation to the legislation affecting homeopathic medicines.
